What is crackle quartz? What IS the aura on quartz, anyway?

Crackle quartz is clear quartz that has been heated to a high temperature and cooled quickly to create the cracks. In most cases, crackle quartz is treated to create the crackle. While this intense heating and flash cooling is possible in nature, a natural piece of crackle quartz would likely be sold as a specimen instead of being cut and polished or come at a high cost due to the rarity of such a find.

The aura is a coating of metal bonded to the surface of the quartz. It is treated, but not manmade, as the gemstone was not lab-created or made in some other fashion. Angel aura is said to be a combination of titanium and niobium.
