In this lot, we offer two different green tourmaline clusters. Did you know that green tourmaline is also known as verdelite? One piece features many verdelite pieces and the other features blue-green tourmaline with what looks to be lepidolite. These pieces are perfect for a collector or for use in your living space.

What is Verdelite (Green Tourmaline)?

Green tourmaline, also known as verdelite, is a variety of tourmaline gemstone prized for its vibrant green color. Its chemical composition is complex, with the general formula (Na, Ca)(Li, Mg, Al)(Al, Fe, Mn)3(BO3)3Si6O18(OH)4. The green color of tourmaline is typically due to the presence of iron in its crystal structure. Because we aren’t sure if the pinkish purple in the one piece is lepidolite or not, we only added the information for tourmaline and green tourmaline.
